How thoroughly do you clean the home before going on a big date? According to our survey of 1,600 Australians with online dating service, RSVP, more than 60% of us take extra care with the home cleaning prior to a date. And for good reason! A third of women (but only a fifth of guys…) said they wouldn’t go on a second date with somebody whose home was messy.
What’s more, a third of us have passed up the opportunity to bring back a date because the home was too unclean. So it seems pretty clear that keeping your place spic and span is an important, yet often underestimated, element of a dating strategy. Even before you’ve secured a date, you should be mindful. A messy room in the background of a selfie on your profile could even cost you a date!
